We are passionate about training young dancers and seeing their growth and evolution over the years at Misako Ballet Studio. From 3 year olds to high schoolers, it is important to us that each student progresses at a pace relevant for their skill level and abilities, so our instructors take time to give individualized instruction wherever possible.

Fun and Safe Learning Environment for Dance & Life Misako Ballet Studio offers a fun and warm environment conducive to learning ballet for our young students. Each step in a sequence is taught so that students understand why it is done as well as how it is done. In addition, our state of the art dance studios come equipped with our uniquely designed “sprung action” floors which ensures that students have the best in safety and comfort. But it is equally important to us that students learn self-discipline, have increased confidence and self-esteem, and learn perseverance and mastery along the way. This is possible because our low student to teacher ratio allows our instructors to create a customized dancing experience for each child.

Performance Opportunities We have several opportunities for young performers to showcase their talent and to experience the thrill of dancing in front of an audience:

• Creative Movement Classes: Our youngest students participate in informal classroom showings throughout the calendar year.
• Children’s Dance Class: Students have two opportunities to perform during the year; The Holiday Concert held at our studios and The Spring Performance held at the esteemed Jim Rouse Theatre.
• Student Company: Accomplished students, once accepted, have additional performing opportunities with our professional non-profit company, Misako Ballet Company. These students take part in a professional performance in February as well as in several festivals and community performances throughout the year.

Affordability All our classes are competitively priced and our rolling admissions allow students to start as late as February in a given school year with prorated fees. As an added bonus, since we care about you saving money, there's no need to spend hundreds of dollars on a single-use costume. We offer a variety of dance costumes available at rental prices so parents do not have to invest more to purchase their child’s costumes.
